Making a Connection—Women's CPA Business Exchange Group
The Women’s Business Exchange Group of KLR reinforces the Firm’s ongoing strategy to retain the best and brightest talent in the industry. KLR recognizes that a commitment to women is a commitment to excellence. We have a talented group of women professionals within the firm whose wide range of experience includes audit, tax, wealth management, executive recruiting, business valuation and business consulting in various industries.
The firm has a core commitment to help women thrive and grow in business. We believe that an effective way to do this is to provide a venue that fosters connections, education, sharing, advancement and business generation. The Women’s Business Exchange Group:
- Connects with successful women business leaders by establishing relationships inside and outside the firm
- Develops and provides internal programs and resources that facilitate the development of business skills essential for winning clients
- Provides an environment to share relevant information on issues that professional women face and to connect and network
KLR’s offices have active Women’s Business Exchange Groups including Boston, Newport, Providence and Waltham. We work with each other between/among offices to share ideas and experiences. We then share these experiences through our award winning in-house educational program, KLR University, whereby everyone in the firm benefits. Additionally, we provide coaching in both marketing and communications skills as well as strategies for increasing one’s visibility in the community and developing a thriving network. We mentor by connecting those who are beginning to develop their skills with those who have experience and proven success.
Many of our women professionals hold leadership roles within the firm and their communities. This experience helps our clients to develop the skills necessary to guide woman-owned businesses through the maze of the business world. Through our Leading Edge Alliance (LEA), we are able to connect with the leading accounting firms throughout the world which gives us access to their networks, experience and programs. Throughout our firm and our LEA partnership, we have created a network of women professionals, allowing us to connect with and represent women at all stages of their business.
Quite simply, we connect and build long-lasting relationships with women professionals while providing them with exemplary client service. We anticipate, respond and adapt quickly to the challenges that face our women clients. Our women professionals have the education, experience and resources to address the unique challenges facing many women clients.
WBE Mission: To Provide women professionals an opportunity to connect and share ideas for professional advancement and business generation.
