Attention Rhode Islanders, are you caught up on how the coronavirus pandemic will impact your taxes? Here’s what you need to know.

What’s the latest?

The RI Division of Taxation has provided information and updates related to COVID-19’s effects on taxation.

What you need to know:

  • The April 15 filing and payment deadline has been extended to July 15, in accordance with federal guidance.
  • Estimated payments normally due June 15, 2020 will now be due July 15, 2020 (as of May 21, 2020).
  • The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation has information about low interest federal disaster loans for working capital to RI small businesses suffering economic injury because of the pandemic.
