There are a variety of restaurants in the Boston area that are known for their food creations, and there are other establishments that are renowned for their specialty drinks and libations. Now, three restaurants in the Boston region have been recognized for both of these aspects and their ability to pair the best dishes and wines.

According to Eater.com, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, a publication dedicated to all things wine related, recently released its annual Top 100 Best Wine Restaurants Issue. On this year's list were three Boston restaurants - Menton, Troquet and Craigie on Main. The magazine acknowledged each establishment and included which pairings earned them their spot on the list, the news source noted.

For example, Troquet was touted for its expansive wine collection, and its roast suckling pig paired with a Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Craigie on Main won its accolade for its Nova Scotia smelt and Inflorescence Champagne, while Mention was awarded for Blanc de Blancs Champagne with butter soup, the source explained.
