Lauren is a Partner at KLR. Her experience with a diverse client base ranging from manufacturers to the nonprofit industry and her interest in the community make her a truly outstanding and unique member of our team.

How do you explain what you do to others not in the industry?

When people think of accountants, I don’t think they are imagining what we are really doing on a daily basis in today’s business environment. We aren’t just doing taxes or issuing financial statements, we are building strong relationships with our clients and serving as a sounding board throughout the year as their businesses operate.

Describe a typical day for you

The best part of this job is the interaction with others. Each day starts by checking in with staff members and then heading out to our clients' offices to check in with audit teams.

Why did you choose KLR?

When I moved back to the area in 2010, I did a lot of research on what firm would be the right fit for me. Hands down, KLR had the best reputation in the community and their breadth of services set them apart from any other firm in the area.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Each day brings a completely different experience. One day, I could be training new staff, meeting with a client or attending a local business or community event. I am never bored!

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about this firm and the impact we make on not only our staff and clients, but the community as well. KLR does a great job of reaching out in the community and helping out where needed. We held a backpack drive this summer. Being able to pass out the fully stocked backpacks to children at local Providence elementary schools was a highlight of my year.
