COLLEAGUES SELECT KLR A BEST PLACE TO WORK
May 03, 2018For the 13th straight year, KLR, one of New England’s largest CPA and business-consulting firms, has been named one of the Best Places to Work.
For the 13th straight year, KLR, one of New England’s largest CPA and business-consulting firms, has been named one of the Best Places to Work, an award the firm has received every year since the list’s inception in 2005.
Every year, Best Companies Group recognizes the most admired workplaces voted on by the people who know them best – their employees. The survey measures job satisfaction, work-life balance, support and recognition of achievement, advancement opportunities with co-workers, supervisors, management compensation and benefits.
KLR aims to provide all that…and more.
“We are committed to building a workplace where employees not only feel appreciated and inspired to do their best, but also feel a strong sense of belonging,” said Alan Litwin, Managing Director. “This recognition is an overwhelming vote of confidence that our programs are working.”
Receiving this 13th award shows that KLR has consistently fostered a positive work environment, and that employees have had the opportunity to be a direct part of the firm’s success. KLR has undertaken many new initiatives to keep this momentum going, including a community service initiative and an internal innovation committee.
Making an Impact on Colleagues, Clients and the Community. This initiative engages colleagues through community involvement and team building to ensure that local communities are a better place to live and work. The firm has scheduled informal “Meet-ups” in each office to encourage and discuss the impact the firm’s service can have on company morale and colleagues’ careers. It’s no secret that community stewards have the potential to become great leaders. By offering colleagues this platform to manage projects, deepen their professional networks and develop public speaking skills, the firm hopes to make a lasting impact on its people and the community at large.
The Waves of Innovation committee is open to all KLR colleagues, and aims to foster a fun environment where all team members have the chance to collaborate and suggest innovative ideas to better KLR’s workplace as well as improve service to our clients. Whether the idea is incremental or transformational and worthy of our internal “Shark Tank” competition, all ideas are welcome and encouraged for discussion. The firm has identified what we call “surfers” on the Waves of Innovation team, who are available to connect with anyone who has an interest or an idea.
“Our colleagues are our future,” says Litwin, “and we recognize that making KLR a more successful workplace, and a best place to work depends on keeping our team engaged and encouraging creativity”.
The KLR team will be honored June 14th at the Crown Plaza Garden Pavilion.
